What are the AU79 self-tanning products made of?The main element in our self-tanners, the DHA, is derived from sugar cane. This ingredient is in charge of giving color to your skin, leaving that tan tone in the last layer. Our products are 100% natural and safe to use; even for pregnant women. They doesn't contain pigments.
-
I have never used self-tanning products, what product can I start with?"If it is your first time using self-tanners, we could recommend our Self-tanning Lotion. Its application and care are simpler. Whichever AU79 self-tanner you choose will be a great option though. Just be sure to follow the directions for use. Keep calm and let it glow.
-
What intensity of tan is best for me?Each taste and style is different from the others. Everything will depend on what you like. But one piece of advice we could give you is: for white skins, you can start with a low/medium tanning intensity and gradually increase applications until you reach the desired tone. For darker skin, you can start with a medium/dark intensity and in the same way, adjust as necessary.
-
What is the best time for my self-tanning routine? We recommend that you do your self-tanning routine at night, just before going to bed. This way you will avoid any situation or activity that puts your tan at risk and the next day you will see the results.
-
Is there anything I need to do before applying the self-tanner?You should prepare your skin before starting your self-tanning routine. Have the skin completely clean, exfoliated, and free of any other product. If you plan to wax, do it 24 hours before your routine. Just before applying the self-tanner, moisturize dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles.
-
What should I apply the product with? You can use your hands or an application mitt. If you are using your hands, be sure to wash them thoroughly after applying the product.
-
How much product should I use?Use enough product to cover all your skin, taking care not to leave any exposed residue. Remember to rub the product until completely absorbed. Be especially careful with self-tanning water, as you could leave exposed drops on the skin that are difficult to see, causing a bad tan.
-
What should I avoid while my tan takes effect?Avoid contact with water. Don't use makeup or moisturizers. Don’t do physical activities that can cause you to sweat. Once you get your tan, you have nothing to worry about.
-
How long will it take for my tan to appear? The tan will appear around 8 hours after applying the product.
-
How long does the tan last on my skin?Your self-tan can last up to 7 days. Everything will depend on the care and maintenance you give to your skin.
-
What cares should I take so that my tan lasts longer? In order to have your skin tanned for a longer period, you must keep it well hydrated. Avoid waxing and rubbing your skin with bath sponges. Dry yourself gently after bathing.
-
How many self-tanning drops should I apply to my moisturizer? We recommend a patch test before application to be able to find the right proportion. A good starting reference might be 2 - 4 drops for a light-medium tan and 4 - 8 drops for a medium-dark tan. How deep you want to go?
